Coach David started off his martial arts journey with Muay Thai in 2017. His love and passion for the sport grew quickly and immediately started fighting in Muay Thai. He now holds a current record of 8-2. Coach David joined the GTA family in 2022 and has been training, competing, and fighting in MMA and Jiu-Jitsu since. To date, he is now a blue belt practitioner holding multiple medals and trophies from Jiu-Jitsu tournaments and MMA fights. Despite the success early on in his career, this is only the beginning for him.

Fueled by an unwavering determination to turn his dreams into reality, Coach David’s future goal is to become a legend in the sport by making it to the UFC and becoming a world champion. Throughout this journey, he would also like to be a world class fighter, travel the world, and be a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu.

His love for teaching and helping others was his driving force to become a coach. He learned that coaching helps his mind stay working as a fighter.

What Coach David loves most about martial arts is the fact that you can always get better; the growth is never ending. There’s never an easy day in the gym. No challenge is too daunting for Coach David as he views obstacles as stepping stones towards growth and personal development.

We asked Coach David: if you can tell your younger self something regarding martial arts, what would you say?

“Don’t be so eager with growing at a fast rate. Take my time with learning. Be more patient in fights. Train like no one else. Also... tell myself to start a lot younger hahah.”
